Session Descriptions and Participant Instructions
Proposal Submittal Deadline: Proposals are no longer being accepted.
Our conference will feature a keynote by the winner of the Jason Millman Award at the conference. In addition, we will have two other keynote speakers.
Conference Theme Effective Teaching, Assessment, and School Leadership for the 21st Century: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Character, and Citizenship
The vision of the Consortium for Research on Educational Assessment and Teaching Effectiveness (CREATE) is improved student learning, development, and achievement in PK-12 schools, institutes of higher learning and other educational settings.
Proposals submissions include a title, a 50-word summary and a 350-word abstract. Each proposal submitted will be reviewed by the CREATE conference planning committee based on the following criteria:
Appropriateness of fit within the conference strand
Relevance to the Conference Theme
Quality of writing
Soundness or quality of research
For-profit presentations will not be accepted.
30 - minute Research Paper Presentation: Submission of actual paper is not required
30 - minute Roundtable Presentation: 20 minute presentation with 10 minute question and feedback period
Doctoral Poster Session
In an effort to support and highlight doctoral student work, CREATE offers a doctoral student poster session. In this session doctoral students at various stages of their work are offered the opportunity to share their ideas. Doctoral students will also pay a reduced registration rate. Posters should be 3 ft x 4 ft. Guidelines for developing the posters for this session can be found at Poster Presentation-36 x 48 Template. Best Practices Poster Session
CREATE offers a best practices poster session for experienced researchers. Posters shall be 3 ft x 4 ft. Guidelines for developing the posters for this session can be found at Poster Presentation-36 x 48 Template.
Proposal Notifications and Registrations
Prospective presenters will be notified June 6, 2017. Presenters and co-presenters are expected to register for the conference. To register for the conference go towww.etouches.com/create17. Registration cost will be $275.00 for individual attendees and $175.00 for doctoral students.
